Habit AI is operated by Emir Esen Kaplan (“Habit AI,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

This Privacy Policy applies to the Habit AI mobile application, its AI coaching features, subscription features, and related services.

By using Habit AI, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we may collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Authentication and account identifiers

Password authentication is handled through our authentication provider. We do not have access to your password in readable form.

Smoking cessation and habit information

To personalize your experience and calculate progress, we may collect information you voluntarily provide, including:

• Your smoking quit date
• Your previous daily cigarette consumption
• Cigarette or pack pricing information
• Your quitting goals and selected habit
• Your progress, milestones, and achievement information
• Craving-related information you choose to enter

Some of this information may reveal details related to your health or lifestyle. We use it only to provide and personalize Habit AI’s functionality.

AI conversations

We collect messages you submit to the AI coach and the responses generated for you. Conversation history may be stored in your account so that the coach can maintain context and provide more relevant support.

Do not submit information that you do not want processed as part of an AI conversation, including highly sensitive medical, financial, identification, or confidential information.

Subscription information

If you purchase a premium subscription, we may receive limited transaction-related information such as:

• Subscription status
• Product or entitlement identifiers
• Purchase and renewal status
• Anonymous or pseudonymous purchase identifiers

We do not directly collect or store your full payment card details. Payments are handled by the applicable app marketplace and our subscription management provider.

Technical information

Our service providers may automatically process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service. This may include device information, application version, IP address, diagnostic information, request timestamps, and security logs.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Create, authenticate, and maintain your account
• Provide personalized smoking cessation support
• Calculate cigarettes avoided, money saved, and progress
• Generate AI-powered coaching responses
• Maintain conversation context and history
• Provide premium subscription features

4. AI Processing

When you use the AI coach, relevant parts of your message, conversation context, and profile information may be transmitted to OpenAI to generate a response.

AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your individual circumstances. Habit AI should not be relied upon for medical decisions, diagnosis, treatment, emergencies, or professional healthcare advice.

If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We use third-party providers to operate Habit AI. These providers may process limited information on our behalf according to their own terms and privacy practices.

Information may be processed or stored in countries other than your country of residence. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your location.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose limited information:

• To service providers that help us operate Habit AI
• When necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government requests
• To investigate fraud, security incidents, abuse, or threats to users and the service
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale, or transfer of all or part of the service, subject to applicable law
• When you direct us or provide valid consent

7. Data Retention

We generally retain account information, profile data, smoking cessation information, and conversation history while your account remains active or for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service.

When your account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize associated personal information within a reasonable period, unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or financial recordkeeping purposes.

Residual copies may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or service-provider systems until those backups are overwritten under normal retention cycles.

8. Account and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your Habit AI account and associated personal information.

We may need to verify that you control the relevant account before completing a deletion request.

Deleting the Habit AI account does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. Subscriptions must also be managed or cancelled through the marketplace account used for purchase.

9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:

• Request access to information associated with your account
• Correct inaccurate account information
• Request deletion of your account and associated information
• Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Request a portable copy of certain information where applicable
• Contact an appropriate data protection authority

These rights may be subject to exceptions or identity verification requirements under applicable law.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no internet transmission, storage system, mobile application, or security control is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

11. Children’s Privacy

Habit AI is not directed to children under the age of 13, or any higher minimum age required for independent consent in the user’s country.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children who are not legally permitted to use the service. If you believe a child has provided personal information unlawfully, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

12. Medical and Health Disclaimer

Habit AI offers general educational, motivational, and behavioral support related to smoking cessation.

Habit AI does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, emergency services, or a professional doctor-patient relationship.

Always seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional about smoking cessation, withdrawal symptoms, medications, pregnancy, mental health, or any other medical concern.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our features, providers, practices, or legal obligations change.

The updated version will be published on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Material changes may also be communicated through the application or other appropriate methods.
